European operators will invest 14,000 million dollars in wireless broadband technologies this year.
A new survey by the GSM Association (GSMA) estimates that global spending on mobile broadband technologies will reach 72,000 million dollars (52,200million), of which 34,000 million dollars (24,600 million) will come Asia, and 19,000 million (13,800 million) in North America. European operators will invest a total of 14,000 million (10,000 million).
Investment in mobile broadband accounted for 52% of all spending on mobile infrastructure operators conducted this year, says the GSMA.
Connections are expected to HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) which provide mobile broadband experience growth. The market analyst firm Wireless Intelligence says that this year there will be 342 million connections, compared to 200 million lastyear, and that Europe is the region to lead this growth with 120 million connections.
