Moodagent: smart playlists from your iPhone and iPod touch

I’m a big fan of the music charts since it is a useful way to rediscover your music and find songs that have always had but we did not hear. Moodagent is a program for creating playlists with the peculiarity that these are created from within the iPhone and iPod touch and stored automatically in our device. The “grace” of the program is to create smart playlists into consideration certain variables available in the program interface, so that we can create playlists defining the following parameters:

  • Sensual. With this parameter we can define more or less sensuous songs.
  • Tender. In this case we can define canciones .
  • Joy.With this variable we can define more fun songs
  • Aggressive. In this case we can increase the “aggressiveness” of songs
  • Time. Finally we can define  ”time”

The program is supported at all times in a web service company that analyzes our songs and according to this analysis offers us the results.

The operation is similar to Genius, but in this case is an external service to Apple’s advantage and provides the ability to customize our lists.

Configuration is very simple and just start the program you have to do is wait for our songs are synchronized and receive the results of the Web server.

After the synchronization, we can start playing with our program for creating playlists. We have two options:

  • From a preset created by us manually.
  • Select a song as a “guide” for the rest, like a Genius.

If you select a song, how the program is identical to Genius. The result is a playlist of 25 songs that we can keep in our iPhone and iPod touch by clicking on the “save playlist”.

If we use the other option, whenever you click on one of the variables the song list will be updated in real time to create new lists.

The only downside of the program is that the playlists are only accessible from the program, but the good thing is that the program does not use an external player if not integrated into the system, we can leave the program and resume playback from the list, move songs to the iPhone blocked … in general the same performance as the application of the iPod.

Sure you’re thinking is it pay? No, that’s also one of the good features of the program is a completely free application and if you like music you will like it as much as me.
